Baseball Game Preview: Nevada Tigers vs. Lamar Tigers

Nevada is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Lamar is on a five-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Nevada will host Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Nevada barely beat Mt. Vernon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Mountaineers 9-1 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lamar duked it out with Cassville on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Wildcats.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Nevada, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Nevada skirted past Lamar 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Nevada have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lamar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
