Basketball Recap: Marshall County's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Marshall County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 69-58 to the Hickman County Bulldogs. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 57-36.

Despite the loss, Marshall County still got an impressive performance from Jabrae Howard, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 21 points. Howard's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamahl Gentry, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points and five steals.

Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Hickman County, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Marshall County Tigers take on the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickman County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Waverly Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickman County is facing Waverly Central at the right time seeing as Waverly Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
