Softball Recap: San Clemente Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mission Viejo, San Clemente was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Irvine Vaqueros 10-4. The result was nothing new for the Tritons, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kennedy Pyne was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sydney Bishop, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

San Clemente has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. Irvine's record now sits at 1-7.

Looking ahead, San Clemente will take on Douglas at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Irvine, they will square off against Northwood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Northwood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
