Fort Worth Country Day will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Houston Christian, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Falcons walked away with a 32-20 victory over the Mustangs last Friday.

A big part of Fort Worth Country Day's win came down to the chemistry between Cooper Paul and his top target Canaan Factor. Paul threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes while Factor picked up 140 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Paul racked up 147.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Fort Worth Country Day, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of William Bloemendal, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last matchup, St. Andrew's made sure to put some points up on the board against Cathedral on Friday. The Highlanders took their game with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over the Fighting Irish. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 26 points or more this season.
Fort Worth Country Day better keep an eye on Hayes Paddock. He was instrumental in St. Andrew's win, rushing for 251 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Paddock showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards. Charlie Greenberg was another key player, throwing for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Fort Worth Country Day's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for St. Andrew's, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Fox Burton and Paddock. Burton just won't slow down this season and has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 60.3 rushing yards per game. Paddock has been a dominant force too and has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 145.5 rushing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Fort Worth Country Day against St. Andrew's in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
