Basketball Recap: Hedley Takes a Loss

Hedley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Shamrock Irish, falling 59-28. The Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.

Despite the defeat, Hedley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Payton Inman posted eight points and eight boards. Kyler Booth was another key player, putting up six points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shamrock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Philip Cook, who scored nine points and five steals. Cook is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kyle Ishee, who earned seven points and eight rebounds.

Hedley's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Shamrock, they pushed their record up to 6-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Hedley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 95-21 defeat against McLean on the 28th. As for Shamrock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 34-32 loss against White Deer on the 28th.
