Softball Recap: Harpeth Indians vs. East Hickman County Eagles
Harpeth managed to slip by East Hickman County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Harpeth Indians came up short against the East Hickman County Eagles on Tuesday, falling 10-4. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Taylor Riley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Cameron Hayes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Stanley, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
