Recap: Hallen vs. Lexington School for the Deaf Blue Jays
Hallen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-39 loss at the hands of Lexington School for the Deaf. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hallen in their matchups with Lexington School for the Deaf: they've now lost six in a row.
Lexington School for the Deaf's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cristhian De La Cruz, who scored 16 points along with two steals. De La Cruz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Larsen, who scored 17 points.
The win (which was Lexington School for the Deaf's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
Hallen will head out on the road to square off against Lexington School for the Deaf at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington School for the Deaf, they will be playing at home against New York School for the Deaf at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Lexington School for the Deaf is coming into the match with three straight wins at home, meaning New York School for the Deaf will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
