Softball Recap: Elizabeth Seton Has No Trouble Against Bishop Mcnamara

After only one run in their last match, Elizabeth Seton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bishop McNamara on Saturday. Elizabeth Seton blew past Bishop McNamara 10-0. The win continues a trend for Elizabeth Seton in their matchups with Bishop McNamara: they've now won six in a row.

Kimmya Sims was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Keagan Cooper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Celia Wills, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Elizabeth Seton's record is now 7-8. As for Bishop McNamara, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
