Baseball Recap: Manteno Panthers vs. Oak Forest Bengals
Manteno proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Oak Forest Bengals. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since March 29th.
Manteno got a massive performance out of Maddoz Toepper, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Toepper a new career-high. Quinn Borden also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
