Preview: Miller Falcons vs. Crooksville Ceramics
The Miller Falcons will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Crooksville Ceramics at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Miller focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Miller was beaten by Nelsonville-York 75-47. Miller has not had much luck with Nelsonville-York recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bryce Dorsey, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Logan Doughty was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Crooksville came up short against Meigs on Friday and fell 66-53. While losing is never fun, Crooksville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 604th, while Meigs is ranked 233rd).
Miller has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Crooksville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Miller was dealt a bruising 71-44 defeat at the hands of Crooksville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Miller avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
