Basketball Recap: Olivia Ogaard's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westhope/Newburg over Kenmare/Bowbells

Westhope/Newburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Kenmare/Bowbells, falling 57-33.

Several Sioux players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Ogaard, who shot 42% from the field on her way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kadence Hall, who posted five points.

Westhope/Newburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Westhope/Newburg will face off against St. John at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kenmare/Bowbells, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Velva at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
