PikeView is 4-0 against Independence since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The PikeView Panthers will be playing at home against the Independence Patriots at 7:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when PikeView faced off against Princeton on Monday. PikeView took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Princeton. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Independence blew past Bluefield, posting a 53-22 win.

PikeView better focus on containing Lacey Goodson and Harmony Mills as the pair were huge in Independence's win. Goodson went 7 of 17 en route to 25 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals, while Mills went 8 for 19 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Mills has scored at least a third of Independence's points.

Independence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Independence's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for PikeView, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything came up roses for PikeView against Independence in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, as the squad secured an 81-12 win. In that game, PikeView amassed a halftime lead of 42-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
