Baseball Recap: Washington County Takes a Loss

The Washington County Commanders came up short against the Collins Titans on Wednesday and fell 10-5. The Commanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Abell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs. Abell is becoming a predictor of the Commanders' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 9-14 when he doesn't).

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Collins, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Washington County will square off against Marion County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Collins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
