Marion posted their closest victory since August 28th on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hempstead Mustangs 2-1. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Marion and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Hempstead, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Marion has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Dowling Catholic on the 13th. As for Hempstead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Muscatine on the 13th.
