Volleyball Game Preview: Valhalla Norsemen vs. West Hills Wolf Pack

The Valhalla Norsemen are taking a road trip to challenge the West Hills Wolf Pack at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valhalla will be strutting in after a win while West Hills will be coming in after a defeat.

Valhalla took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Mount Miguel. The Norsemen haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, West Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to El Capitan. While the Wolf Pack didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vaqueros 25-18 in the first set.

West Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-23.

West Hills now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Valhalla, they pushed their record up to 9-16 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Valhalla beat West Hills 3-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Norsemen since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
