Basketball Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against West Rutland + How To Watch

Mt. St. Joseph Academy had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 48-44 to the West Rutland Golden Horde. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Several Green Wave players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Treanor, who posted 18 points and three steals. Brandon Therriault was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Coming up, Mt. St. Joseph Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Bellows Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Rutland, they will venture away from home to square off against Leland & Gray at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
