Century is 5-0 against Northside Baptist Christian since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Century Centurions just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Northside Baptist Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. Century will be strutting in after a victory while Northside Baptist Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Century will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Goreville, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Century snuck past Goreville with a 34-28 win on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Centurions have won by exactly six points.

Century's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylee Vanmeter, who posted 15 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Vanmeter has scored at least a third of Century's points. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Mackins, who scored ten points.

Meanwhile, Northside Baptist Christian lost to Shawnee on the road by a 49-35 margin two weeks ago. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Century and bumps their season record up to 8-11. As for Northside Baptist Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Century was able to grind out a solid victory over Northside Baptist Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 29-22. Does Century have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northside Baptist Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
