Softball Recap: Epping Comes Up Short

Epping made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Raymond, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Rams by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. That makes it the first time this season the Blue Devils have let down their home crowd.

Epping's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Raymond, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coming up, Epping will be playing at home against Newmarket at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mules' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Raymond will be paying especially close attention to Epping's match: after Epping faces off against Newmarket, they'll take on Raymond again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
