Preview: Antelope Valley Antelopes vs. Duarte Falcons
The Antelope Valley Antelopes and the Duarte Falcons will round out the year against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Antelope Valley and three for Duarte.
Last Thursday, Antelope Valley suffered a rough 72-48 loss at the hands of Lancaster.
Antelope Valley's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ronald Miller, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kiwan Sims was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Duarte came up short against Varsity Opponent last Saturday and fell 57-45.
Antelope Valley bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Duarte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Antelope Valley beat Duarte 60-53 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Does Antelope Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Duarte turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
