Soccer Game Preview: Orion/Sherrard vs. Galesburg

The Orion/Sherrard United will challenge the Galesburg Silver Streaks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Orion/Sherrard came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against East Moline United, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for Orion/Sherrard in their meetings with East Moline United: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Galesburg was not quite Bloomington Central Catholic's equal in the second half on Monday. They lost 5-1 to the Saints.

Galesburg's goal came courtesy of Madalyn Lardi, who's now up to 22 this season.

Galesburg has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Orion/Sherrard, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-4.
