After losing to Chowchilla the last time they met, Sierra decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chieftains blew past the Tribe 3-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chieftains.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-13.

Kinley Ferguson paced Sierra's offense, picking up eight kills. Ferguson got some help from Brooke Gibson and her 16 assists. Maci Watt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sierra's record now sits at 26-11. As for Chowchilla, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sierra will face off against rival Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Chowchilla is set to take on their familiar foe Yosemite at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
