Basketball Game Preview: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Christian Brothers Falcons

The Woodcreek Timberwolves will challenge the Christian Brothers Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Christian Brothers will be up against a hot Woodcreek team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Woodcreek came out on top against Rio Americano by a score of 58-47 on Wednesday.

Woodcreek can attribute much of their success to Will Dennie, who posted 17 points. Michael Kirby, Jr. was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian Brothers). Everything went their way against Vista del Lago on Wednesday as Christian Brothers made off with a 76-51 victory. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Eagles are ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christian Brothers has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Woodcreek beat Christian Brothers 60-52 in their previous meeting on January 9th. Will Woodcreek repeat their success, or does Christian Brothers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
