Baseball Recap: Jupiter Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Jupiter won against Grace Christian Academy on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitcher stepped up to hand the Boca Raton Bobcats a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Ethan Trivison's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Brayden Alvarez was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Jupiter is undefeated when Alvarez posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Colby Smith was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Jupiter and bumps their season record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Boca Raton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.

Jupiter will take on American Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boca Raton, they will challenge Olympic Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
