Recap: IC Catholic Prep Knights vs. Fenwick Friars
On Friday, IC Catholic Prep humbled Fenwick with a 42-9 victory. The result was nothing new for IC Catholic Prep, who have now won five games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Joey Gliatta continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Gliatta was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Mandala, who threw for 267 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
The win makes it two in a row for IC Catholic Prep and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34 points. As for Fenwick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
IC Catholic Prep will be playing at home against Geneseo at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Geneseo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 165th, while IC Catholic Prep is ranked 17th). Fenwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
