Westwood proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Red Mountain Mountain Lions 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Mountain Lions last Friday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Westwood was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Their offense was headlined by Easton Davis and Cole Goforth, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Jack Carpenter and his 43 assists. Finally, Silas Bowlby kept Westwood's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Westwood has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Red Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.

Westwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Skyline on the 29th. As for Red Mountain, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Mesa on the 29th.
