Basketball Recap: Olympic's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Olympic came into Monday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Calvary Day Cavaliers 40-37.

Leading Olympic to victory were Chaya James and Arianna Shaw. James dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Shaw posted 11 points and five steals. Shaw has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Jasmyn Ashbourne was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

As for Calvary Day, they will head out to challenge Beach at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
