Recap: Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks vs. Williston-Elko Blue Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calhoun County, The Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 50-14 victory over Williston-Elko. The result was nothing new for Blackville-Hilda, who have now won five matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Jaquel Holman was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 123 yards on only nine carries.
Blackville-Hilda's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Williston-Elko and 1-8 Ridge Spring-Monetta (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.2% over those games). As for Williston-Elko, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
