Basketball Game Preview: Oneonta Yellowjackets vs. Windsor Central Black Knights

The Oneonta Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Windsor Central Black Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oneonta is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Delaware Academy 64-34. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Windsor Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Susquehanna Valley, falling 61-21. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while the Sabers are ranked 16th).

Windsor Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oneonta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Oneonta strolled past Windsor Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 44-29. Does Oneonta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Windsor Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
