Baseball Recap: Corning Comes Up Short

Corning lost against Orland last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cardinals lost 13-0 to the Trojans. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Corning's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Orland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Corning will take on rival Oroville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Orland is set to square off against their familiar foe Las Plumas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
