Baseball Recap: Carnegie Vanguard's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous four matchup, Carnegie Vanguard brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Westbury Huskies a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rhinos' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Teddy Herce was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
