Softball Recap: Gautier Takes a Loss

If Gautier was feeling good fresh off their 23-6 takedown of Our Lady Academy two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gautier Gators lost 17-11 to the Perry Central Bulldogs on Monday. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Madison Parker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Kymory Davis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Gautier's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Perry Central, their record is now 3-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gautier will welcome Forrest County Agricultural at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry Central, they will challenge St. Patrick at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
