Basketball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield lost against Norton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Springfield Spartans were outmatched by the Norton Panthers and fell 53-18. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kayla Gaspar and Kendall Wilderman, who each put up eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for Springfield and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Norton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-48 defeat against Woodridge on the 6th. As for Norton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-28 victory against Coventry on the 6th.
