Mission Bay added to the longest winning streak in Western this week by beating Christian, 24-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Buccaneers.

Mission Bay scaled the state rankings by moving to 170 from 262 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Willie Matson's team was able to move up by defeating the Patriots 24-21.

The Buccaneers' dynamic duo of Nicholas Plum and Lamarriel Taylor proved tough for Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Plum threw for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns and Taylor had 101 yards receiving. Franklin Gaylord helped Mission Bay's passing attack out by catching 8 balls for 66 yards.

Kareem Coles provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Madison bested Mira Mesa. He completed 9 passes for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 63 yards. Coles' key target this week was Vincent Parrish, who caught 3 passes for 72 yards.

6-foot-3 quarterback Collin Rugg of La Jolla is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,090. He has also thrown 10 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Parrish. The Madison star has 20 catches for 392 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Mission Bay takes on second place Madison. Mission Bay bested Matt Oliver's team last week, while the Warhawks beat the Marauders.

Two of the top teams in Western will go toe-to-toe this week when Madison takes on the Buccaneers. Rick Jackson's team's offense has recorded 200 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Mission Bay has permitted only 46 on the year.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Buccaneers take on the Warhawks. Mission Bay has allowed 46 points this season, while Madison has given up 78. The Buccaneers allowed 21 points last week as they topped the Patriots.

The Warhawks took down Mira Mesa 41-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Coles ran for 63 yards in the win.
