Thursday just wasn't the day for Western Albemarle's offense. They fell just short of Albemarle by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Western Albemarle have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Liberty Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against Heritage on Wednesday as they made off with a 6-1 win. Liberty Christian have beaten Heritage the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Heritage has come to flipping the script.

Liberty Christian pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four games. As for Western Albemarle, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3-2.
