Basketball Recap: Wickliffe Takes a Loss

Wickliffe played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Crestwood Red Devils, falling 74-43. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Crestwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brody Durham out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was James Durham, who went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points and eight boards.

Wickliffe's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Crestwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-3.

Coming up, Wickliffe will take on Cuyahoga Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crestwood, they will challenge Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Streetsboro has won six straight at home, while Crestwood won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
