On ThursdayCary Christian kept up with Trinity Academy until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Trinity Academy Tigers put the hurt on the Cary Christian Knights with a sharp 73-48 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 25 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cary Christian lost, don't look at Andrew Neal. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. The contest was Neal's 15th in a row with at least 19 points. Landon Myers was another key player, putting up two points.

The win was the sixth in a row for Trinity Academy, bringing their record for this year to 16-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points over those games. As for Cary Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Trinity Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-49 defeat against GRACE Christian on the 7th. As for Cary Christian, they will take on Calvary Day School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Day School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Cary Christian likes a good challenge.
