Preview: Vassar Vulcans vs. Sandusky Wolves
Vassar has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Sandusky Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Vassar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Vassar lost to Brown City at home by a decisive 43-24 margin. Vassar has not had much luck with Brown City recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Vassar got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Addison Kodrick and
Natalie Hoerlein, who each put up seven points.
Makenna McCloud held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. McCloud took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Sandusky humbled Reese with a 50-21 victory.
Vassar now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sandusky, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Vassar was dealt a bruising 55-27 defeat at the hands of Sandusky in their previous matchup back in January. Can Vassar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
