Basketball Recap: Luther Prep Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Luther Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the St. Francis Mariners by a score of 54-44 on Friday. The Phoenix have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mariners, too.

St. Francis lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dai'Lend Jett, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Green, who posted ten points.

Luther Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for St. Francis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Luther Prep will venture away from home to take on Living Word Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Francis, they will square off against Shorewood at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Shorewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
