Basketball Recap: Windsor Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Flint River Academy last Saturday, Windsor Academy came back down to earth. The Windsor Academy Knights were outmatched by the Piedmont Academy Cougars and fell 65-17. The match marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Kyndall Bowen and Adelynn Terry, who each put up five points.

Marissa Holder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Piedmont Academy, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. Holder's evening made it 16 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kylee Keck was another key player, going 7 of 15 on her way to 19 points along with five boards and four steals.

Windsor Academy dropped their record down to 5-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Piedmont Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Windsor Academy has already played their next game, a 61-21 loss against Trinity Christian on the 4th. As for Piedmont Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-48 victory against John Milledge Academy on the 4th.
