Basketball Recap: New Berlin Eisenhower Comes Up Short

New Berlin Eisenhower suffered their closest defeat since February 23rd on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings by a score of 47-44. The Lions were probably out for revenge after losing 58-35 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

New Berlin Eisenhower's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

New Berlin Eisenhower and Wisconsin Lutheran could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. New Berlin Eisenhower (ranked 72nd) will meet Pewaukee (ranked fourth) at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, Wisconsin Lutheran will challenge Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th down 33 places (43 vs. 10).
