Volleyball Recap: Temple City Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Temple City hadn't done well against South Pasadena recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Tigers 3-2. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

While Temple City might've won, it sure wasn't easy: South Pasadena scored at least 11 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 19-25, 15-11.

When it comes to explaining why South Pasadena lost, don't look at Wyatt Morimoto-Woo. Despite the final result, he had 24 digs and two aces. Evan Chang also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Temple City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for South Pasadena, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Temple City is set to face off against their familiar foe San Marino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Rams have won four straight at home, while the Titans won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, South Pasadena will challenge rival Monrovia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
