Basketball Recap: Eastside Christian Takes a Loss

Eastside Christian lost against Magnolia Science Academy on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Eastside Christian Eagles and the Magnolia Science Academy Pirates didn't end well, with the Eastside Christian Eagles falling 65-49.

Magnolia Science Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Gonzales led the charge by putting up 22 points. Tobi Bamidele was another key player, earning 21 points and seven boards.

Eastside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Magnolia Science Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Eastside Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-46 defeat against NOVA Academy on the 29th. As for Magnolia Science Academy, they will square off against Legacy College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia Science Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.
