Baseball Recap: Tarrant Comes Up Short

Tarrant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 31st straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Carver Birmingham Rams, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 back in February.

Raheem McGee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jaylin Southall also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, Tarrant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tarrant's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Carver Birmingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tarrant will host Cornerstone at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tarrant has given up an average of 19.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Carver Birmingham, they will welcome Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
