Soccer Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside fell victim to Lampasas and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Lampasas Badgers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Badgers are ranked 262nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Carter-Riverside and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Lampasas, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.

Carter-Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 loss against Venus on the 17th. Lampasas has also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Eagle Mountain on the 17th.
