Oak Forest Academy waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Silliman Institute Wildcats with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brody Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Keegan Kelsey was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Bubba Bonura, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Oak Forest Academy pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Silliman Institute, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Oak Forest Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Silliman Institute: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
