The ALA - Queen Creek Patriots will face off against the Combs Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (ALA - Queen Creek has seven straight wins, Combs has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
ALA - Queen Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Cactus Shadows, who was ranked 12th at the time (ALA - Queen Creek was ranked 11th). The Patriots never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Monday.

Juan Pablo Altamirano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Seth Nielson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tayden Brewer, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Combs came up short against ALA - Queen Creek on Friday, falling 14-1.
Combs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Wilp, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
ALA - Queen Creek pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Combs, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1.
Combs' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. ALA - Queen Creek has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Combs, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will ALA - Queen Creek keep running through batters, or will the Coyotes buck the trend?
