Softball Recap: Marietta Blue Devils vs. McEachern Indians

Marietta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 39th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McEachern Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 14-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Marietta saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Mamer, who went 3-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI. What's more, Mamer also racked up three hits, the mostshe's had since back in August of 2023. Gabriella Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a double.

Even though they lost, Marietta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Marietta's record now sits at 0-26. As for McEachern, the win snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-11 record.

As of now, neither Marietta nor McEachern have any future games scheduled.
