Softball Game Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. West Orange Warriors

The Ocoee Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the West Orange Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Ocoee got the win against Dr. Phillips by a conclusive 14-3. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Kylie Holden was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Trista Fitzpatrick, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

Ocoee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dr. Phillips only posted an OBP of .400.

Meanwhile, West Orange earned a 5-2 victory over Innovation on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Allie Lavigne, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

The win got West Orange back to even at 1-1. As for Ocoee, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Ocoee got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against West Orange by a conclusive 19-3 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
