Volleyball Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Steele Early College Stallions

After both having extra time off, the Marcus Marauders and the Steele Early College Stallions will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marcus will be strutting in after a victory while Steele Early College will be coming in after a loss.

Marcus was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Byron Nelson 3-2.

Marcus had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 21-25, 26-24, 26-24, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Steele Early College came up short against Nolan Catholic on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steele Early College was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-15.

Marcus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Steele Early College, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Marcus took their victory against Steele Early College when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stallions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
