Recap: Cincinnati Christian Cougars vs. Seven Hills Stingers
It was a good run, but the Cincinnati Christian Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Seven Hills, falling 65-35. Cincinnati Christian has not had much luck with Seven Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Cincinnati Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Bowling, who scored four points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Raby, who scored eight points.
Cincinnati Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Seven Hills, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cincinnati Christian will take on North College Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North College Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 765th, while Cincinnati Christian is ranked 354th). As for Seven Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Reading at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
